General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Colospa retard can be continued for 2 weeks after which your symptoms will reduce. After 2 weeks, I would recommend you to stop the continuing your drug. I would also recommend to review with your doctor regarding the progress of irritable bowel syndrome.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Saranya Ramadoss, General & Family Physician
