Shooting Pain On Back Of Ribs And Sore Ribs. Could This Be Pulled Muscle?

Hi, i got up one day from sitting while holding my 1 yr old and I got a shooting pain around the back of my ribs. It was sore for the day and was then fine but I'm still sore every now and then for a day. When I twist around its sore all around my ribs at the back and side. It feels like muscular pain. Could I have pulled a muscle that day?

Hello dear,

The symptoms as mentioned in your post can be attributed to spasm in the muscle.

Symptomatic relief can be obtained by application of analgesic & muscle relaxant gel, intake of analgesics like Diclofenac (to be taken after food) + Pantoprazole (to be taken 30 minutes before meals).
You can include supplements of Calcium & Vitamin D in your diet which will help in strengthening of bones.

There is no need to worry, you will be fine.
Till then, maintain adequate hydration & nutrition status, take proper rest and avoid stress.

Wishing you a Good Health.
Take care.
