Sharp Pain In The Left Side Of Throat, Cough, Swelling In Neck. Causes ?
Ive been sick recently didnt really think anything of it but a simple cold but the last 3 days have been miserable. I have sharp pain in the left side of my throat when swallowing so bad that i squint my eyes even trying to swallow saliva . I have a cough along with this that has been present for the past week. Also, my glands on the left side of my neck have minimal swelling but are painful even with the lightest touch. The pain has expanded all throughout the left side of my neck making it hard to turn my head and focus on simple tasks.

Welcome to the forum. I will suggest you to consult an ENT specialist without much delay. You are suffering from infection, inflammation and pain. You need a "swab test", routine blood tests and radiological examination. You should be clinically assessed by a doctor else your symptoms may worsen.
You should consult a doctor and take antibiotic, anti-inflammatory medicines. Even antiseptic mouth washes will relief you of your symptoms. Your doctor needs to assess if your tonsils need a surgical removal. There is nothing to be scared of, co-operate with your treating doctor to get well soon.
Take semi-solid food, porridges, soups and juice that is slightly warmed up. You are ill, you need care. Have a nice day, take care.
