Sharp Pain In The Abdomen, Vomiting, Chills. Need To Go To Emergency?
Hi, today I experienced a very sharp pain in my upper right abdomin while I was at work. I then vomited my lunch that I had had two hours before. The pain only got worse. My co workers said that my skin had lost all of its color. The pain was constant for two hours. Right now it has subsided but I keep getting chills and the area where it hurt feels warm. Like on the inside. I can't help but wonder if I should still got to the ER, the reason I didn't go initially is because I don't have health insurance.
Hi ! The site of the pain you described is pointing towards an inflammation of the gall bladder along with gall stones and/or a pathology in the liver. You have not mentioned about your dietary habits and if you consume any alcoholic drinks. If you do, then an associated pancreatic pathology has to be excluded. I think instead of wasting valuable time, you should to the Emergency room where your condition can be assessed both clinically and some investigations as need be. Not having a health insurance is not a reason for not going to the hospital for a condition which needs fast action to control the progress. Wish you an early recovery. Thanks.
