Sharp pain in elbow, unable to lift an object causing intense pain. How do I get rid of this?

its been almost three weeks that ive had a sharp pain in my elbow when it is bent. it went away after i stoped going to the gym. yesturday while doing bench press i felt a sharp pain and i droped the bar on my chest because the pain was so strong. now i can barley lift my cell phone with the arm cause the pain is so intense . what is the problem and how do i get rid of it?

u have tennis avoid to pick up weights,hot fomantation,physiotherapy,tab BRUFEN 400 mg ,local analgesic cream go for x ray & blood test.see ortho surgern & physiotherapist.
hope ,will cure u,rarely lacal injection may be needed.

It seems you overstressed yourself either with weight or may be you were in wrong posture during exercise which has lead to this problem which probably is due to the injury to articulating ligaments. You need to see your doctor & Physiotherapist at the earliest so that rationale treatment could be started. You may need to get a few radiological investigations done like X-ray elbow.

Till then do not stress your affected arm/forearm/hand. use hot water bag fomentation and see your doctor for further line of treatment.
