Sharp and dull calf pain for weeks that comes and goes

I m starting to think I have a nerve problem. For the last two months, I ve had random, sharp (and sometimes dull calf pain in two spots, one of the left of my left calf, the other closer to my ankle. I had my blood check and a physical, all of which are normal. I have shin splint spots on both legs, but my right leg isn t as bad. I have a swelling on the back of my knee that is also giving me lower thigh spasms, especially at night, and it often hurts in my foot too. Did I mess with a nerve? Does it take long for muscles to recover, especially for someone who is relatively inactive (and I m 20). I got an x-ray, that was all clear. I m waiting for an MRI . No swelling or redness as of right now. And I got an x-ray which was all clear.
