Sexually Active, Started Bleeding After Workout For A Day. Implantation Bleeding ?

Hi, I'm 19 years old, sexually active as of last January. My boyfriend and I have used condoms every single time we've had sex, and to my knowledge we have been using them properly (only using one per "sex act", proper application and removal, ect), and to my knowledge none of them have broken - or if they have, neither I nor my boyfriend have noticed. Yesterday, immediately after my workout (I was still at the gym while this happened actually), I started bleeding, but I shouldn't get my period for another 2 weeks. I only bled for one day, and the flow was like a light period (not spotting, blood was red not brown). I should actually be ovulating right now. I know that some times things like stress or the amount of hormones in foods or a flux in hormones can cause menstruation to be abnormal, so I chalked it up to that but I looked it up online just to be sure. I saw that sometimes during pregnancy, the implantation of a fertilized egg into the uterine wall can cause some bleeding. The last times that I had sex was right before I got my last period, and right after (Saturday the 24th of August and Sunday the 1st of September to be specific). I've looked up implantation bleeding and from what I can tell, the likelihood of my situation being from implantation bleeding is small, but I know that I can't rule out pregnancy all together because I am sexually active and I know that slip-ups can happen. I just wanted to hear from a medical professional whether or not this seems like implantation bleeding or if this couple possibly be from something else (hormone or stress related?), if I could still be pregnant, and how soon I should take a pregnancy test to be sure. This is extremely concerning to me, I thought I was being careful, I have so much to lose, I'm a biomed major, I'm planning on going to PA school...I just need to know that this is a menstrual issue and that I'm not pregnant.

hi there!
the chances are quite less, but you should know, the sperms can remain alive in cervix and vagina for 3-5 days.so we cannot rule out the pregnancy immediately. you can conduct urinary pregnancy test if you miss the periods, it should be done ideally after 5 days of missing periods.
secondly sometime during ovulation such things happen, some females do suffer from ovulation bleeding too.its very less in amount and normally dosent require any medical treatment.
i would advise you to wait till you get or miss the period.
secondly some minor infections of female genital tract can also cause little bleeding.
be patient for few more days and then if the issue dosent resolve you can consult a gynecologist.
hope this helps you.
