Sex with women while taking beta blockers

Has anyone lost complete desire and arousal for sex with women when taking beta blockers bld. press. med? When I look at naked women or when my girlfriend touches me and wants to kiss. I have no desire. I do not get turned on at all. Two popscicle sticks couldn t hold it up for me. Is this normal it s been nearly a year.

Yes that is a side effect of beta blockers. You should talk to your doctor about that and may be able to change your meds or decrease the dosage. Soooooooooo don't worry however, call your doctor and let him know and I'm certain he will try to help you.

I believe I have gout for the first time; I will contact my primary care doctor in the morning. I was wondering if I can take Tylenol PM to night. I take a beta blocker for BP and I see that taking a NSID is preferred for treating gout but there appears to be a drug interaction with my beta blocker? I am ,female, and 71.

I have been taking a beta-blocker for six months. I began having sever palpitations in late June ( 5,300 in a 24 hr. period). They did many heart tests and my heart is not the problem. My thyroid blood tests were normal as was an adrenal test. I still get the palpitations, but they are manageable while I am on this medication. Now I am getting goosebumps! From my head to my toes several/many times per day. Even while I am covered up in bed and not chilly!

My mum (79) demanded that she come off bisoprolol after taking for 3 years, as she felt she should not have been on it. The doctor agreed and she is now suffering with increased heart rate (120bpm) at times, but wont see a doctor. She suffers generally with her nerves and feels that going back on the bisoprolol again will calm her down. Is she just panicing or will the panic attack be because of coming off the bisoprolol? She also came off bumetanide at the same time, for the same reason (ie she felt she should never have been put on those tablets)

I am 23 and I have Inappropriate Sinus Tachycardia. I have been on beta blockers for 4 years and have gotten quite use to my fast heart. However, over the past month when I move from a resting position, or walk my body gets very tingly and I get weak/lightheaded. I am waiting to get an apt with my cardiologist but it seems he is completely booked. Please let me know any ideas you might have about this.
