Sex During Ovulation. Can Trinessa Be Used As An Emergency Contraceptive?

I have tri-nessa that i havent started yet. My boyfriend and I had a mishap during sex last weekend and I know that I was around ovulation time and Im scared that I will end up pregnant before I am suppose to start my BC. I don t have the money to go buy the plan b is there anyway I can use my tri-nessa for the EC method

Hi,
Yes, in case of emergency you can use oral contraceptive pills as birth control pills.
Generally in our setup we advice to take four pills within 72 hours of the act, followed by 4 pills after 24 hours.
You once consult your gynecologist and proceed according to her advice.
After taking the tablets you may get withdrawal bleeding after 4 to 5 days.
Then you can go for regular contraceptive method.
