Sex Drive Reduced While Taking Lexepro Which Did Not Returned To Normal After Stopping

Hi there, whilst i was taking lexepro for approximately 2yrs and during this time noticed my sex drive reduced considerably. I have now been off lexepro for about 18mths and my libido still hasn't returned to normal. Is this a common side effect?? Thanks

Yes the loss of sexual drive is common side effect occuring in about 40 percent of patients and it returns to normal in majority after discontinuation.
Persistence of problem point toward the residual symptoms of the condition for which you were taking lexapro.
In my view you need to consult your physician to rule out any other cause of loss of libido other than the side effect of laxapro.
I like to assure you that it is often treatable and nothing to worry.
