Severe Shooting Pain In Left Thigh. History Of Leg Cramps. Due To Blood Clot?

Last night I woke up with an excruciating pain shooting through the front of my left thigh upwards. It was unlike any pain I have ever had. It truly was painful...I was hysterical. I ve had night leg cramps before but this was nothing like these. The pain lasted about 15 minutes and then went away. I am 55 years old. Could this be a blood clot?

hi i had gone through your query and understand your concerns. i would come up with the possibility of SCIATICA may be the cause for your sufferings.

the possible causes include

-exposure to damp
-pressure on nerve,by tumor,or constipation,or through injury
-over use of limbs walking
-rheumatism or gout
