Severe Pain Near Ovaries. Extends Upto Neck. Advice
i am 25 yr old , female. past two weeks i was having some pain near my ovaries , which is common for me when i am expecting my period. however this time it was much stronger and i assumed probably to my period being late for about 2 weeks. period came and gone but I am still left with the same shooting pain in my ovaries . it feels like they are being pulled apart. last week though the pain was extended to the top of my stomach , below the ribcage on the right hand side . and it extends as far as my neck. The pain near my ovaries continues but whats bothering me is the new pain .. i cant move too much or take deep breaths because i can feel as if i have pulled a muscle.. any insight .. i will visit a GP but i am stressed now cause of the exams ..
Hi and welcome to HCM.
You need gyn exam ,not GP. It sounds to me like ovarian cyst or endometriosis which can have referred pain to abdomen and shoulder. This is isnt unusual in your age and pelvic ultrasounds could tell you more is there any pathology. In most cases this is benign but you shouldnt ignore this if persist and progress.
Wish you good health.
