Hi,

Thanks for asking the query,

Recurrent mouth ulcers occurs due to many reasons like immunlogic defects, vitamin & iron deficiencies, traumatic self inflicted bites , toothbrushing and dental trauma, hormonal imbalance, allergic factors.

You have traumatised the tongue accidently while eating, dont worry apply Dologel oral ointment topically over the affected area,
Take multivitamin tablets daily .
Apply cortisone acetatae topically over the affected areas.
Maintain a good oral hygiene, use saline water gargles, antiseptic mouthwash gargles.
Avoid eating hot and spicy foods.

Hope this helps out.

hi richy
thanks for asking your query
accidently biting on tongue is not a major injury but it can be extremely painful.
to soothe the pain, burning sensation and swelling drink ice chilled water or put ice cube on tongue
apply glycerin on the tongue as often as you can.
avoid drinking hot beverages and carbonated drinks as it will irritates the bruised tissue
increase intake of vitamin B and C rich food as they accelerates te healing process
use antiseptic mouthwash to reduce chance of infection
gargle with saline water to ease pain and reduce infection
hope this will help

Dear friend.

Thanks for sharing your concern.

Do not worry. you can easily relish your mom preparation by mere application of dologel.this ointment is lignocaine based and will give you immediate relief on application.

you can apply this 5 minutes before food locally.

now coming to treatment for ulcers. In this case you are advised to take vitamin B for 15 days.also do local application of above said ointment.

your food should be nutritious and healthy as ulcers generally occur due to deficiency of vitamins.

most importantly try and remain stress free for faster healing, as stress delays healing.

A cut or an wound will take its time to heal naturally.so relax and take care.you will be fine soon.

hope it helps.

thanks.

Hello,
Thanks for writing to us.
There are many remedies to soothe a bitten or bruised tongue. Drinking iced water or placing an ice cube in your mouth or on the bite helps to reduce the burning sensation, lessen swelling, and alleviate pain.
Applying glycerin or petroleum jelly on the tongue before you go to bed or as often as you can. Butter is also known to help with bruises. Take a little butter and allow it to slowly dissolve in your mouth. Ensure that the bruised area is covered in the butter for at least a few minutes. Unflavored yogurt or butter milk can help in reducing swelling and pain and so you should include these foods in your daily diet.
Hope this helps you.
Wishing you good health...
Regards.
