Severe pain in the lower leg. Need to go to hospital?
I woke up this morning with unbearable pain in my lower leg. Not directly on calf muscle itself, but on the outside more on the side of the shin. When I tried to get out of bed, I collapsed on that side as the pain was overwhelming. I am 5 5 110lbs. I work out 4-5 days/week. This has only happened twice before. I can t touch the leg, due to the pain to rub it out. The last time this occurred I debated going to the ER but after 90 mins the pain subsided enough that I could slowly start to stand and walk on it again. My question is, what should I do? Wait it out or go to hospital?

do you get tingling / numbness? is there a swelling?
a discoloration? a backache?
