Severe Pain In The Knee After Knee Replacement. What All Tests To Be Done?
i am 45 and have had 2 total knee replacements back to back on the same knee. I injured it playing basketball in college, tearing my ACL . I am having terrible pain from the replacement, that wont go away; it keeps getting worse. I have been tested for allergies however I dont know if the appropriate testing has been done. It hurt so bad, I feel like I am going to lose my mind
Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
The persistent pain even after the knee replacement could be due to an improper balance of the artificial knee, some internal soft tissue pathology, etc. A CT scan of the area and a direct physical examination is necessary to find out the cause.
