Severe Pain In Shoulders Going Down To Fingers, Unable To Lift Hand. No Help From Hot Wraps, Tylenol And Aspirin. Advice

Dr. my right shoulder has hurt for several days, pain is in the muscle just below the shoulder and runs down into my fingers even. I can hardly lift my arm--even lifting a cup of coffee hurts. I can barely brush my hair or anything that requires me lifting my arm.. I am in terrible pain. I have tried hot wraps, tylenol and aspirin--nothing helps

Hi,
From your history it seems that you might be having Peri-artheritis of shoulder joints.
If you are elderly then there is possibility of having cervical spondilitis.
Go for x-ray cervical region and of shoulder joint.
After report plan of treatment, medicine and physiotherapy can be decided.
Meanwhile you can take NSAID like Ibuprofen or Diclo-para tablet.
Ok and take care.
