Hi, Thanks for using HCM.

This looks like the rod may be displaced from its position or any damage to the bone. I advice you atleast to get done one X ray to see the status. If any of the above 2 then need to be surgically corrected. Don't handle it much and should take rest for now. Take Ibuprofen 400mg for pain.

You may require dynamic CT scan for complete diagnosis. Hope I answered your question. Consult your local doctor once for further examination and management.
Feel free to ask me if you have any further queries.
Wish you good health. Take care.

Regards

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement Dr. K. Naga Ravi Prasad's  Response
Hi, thanks for writing to HCM.

Based on your description, I suspect that you could have suffered an Implant (nail) breakage which is the reason why you could be able to move it.

The broken segment of the nail could be impinging in the knee joint causing pain.

An xray of the involved area will show up the status of the implant inside.

I suggest you to consult an orthopedic surgeon for further management.

Momentarily, use some analgesic like Advil or Aleve. Avoid meddling the nail.

Hope this information is helpful. Good day
