prolonged standing is stress for knee joints and blood vessels. try to sit on a chair every 20-30 mins for 2-3 mins and gently rotating ur feet (ankle joint) in all directions. this ensures proper blood circulation and relaxes the joints. additionally u can use olive oil or mustard oil or mahanarayan oil for massage over knee joints. oral painkillers may be needed as per ur dr's advice. If you are going to do standing job even for next few years of life then take ur doctors advice for elastic stockings that may be needed so that u not develop varicoseveins. traffic policemen use these as they have to stand for prolonged periods.
