Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement 's  Response
Hi, thanks for writing to HCM.

Generally, Pain after any internal fixation procedure for a long bone fracture will persist for 2-3 weeks and wanes off gradually. If your husband has continuous pain at the operated site, it usually indicate infection unless proved otherwise.

So, he needs a detailed clinical evaluation for further management.

The only best doctor to assess any bony injuries is an Orthopedic surgeon. So, I suggest you to approach an orthosurgeon for the same.

Hope this information is helpful. Good day
