Severe Muscle Spasms, Swelling In The Leg. Difficulty In Walking. What Is The Cause, Treatment?

Symptoms were subtle at first. First massive muscles spasms where if in the legs the only relief is to walk. Sometimes, usually a.m. legs cannot support me. Now, suddenly also hurts in lower legs so severely that it is difficult to walk and pain makes me unsteady. I am 71 years old. Sometimes I am fine. Also, lots of lower leg and feet swelling. I am getting scared, for symptoms are increasing. I fear that I will not be able to walk at all and the pain will never leave. Pain feels sometimes like muscle spasms; but when worse and intense, the pain is everywhere in the lower legs. I have urge to shake the legs. Sometimes cannot sleep due to the pain. Any ideas?? Thank you. My email is: YYYY@YYYY ALL THAT WORK AND FIND OUT I HAVE TO PAY. IF I SEE A DOCTOR IN HIS OFFICE NEXT WEEK, MY INSURANCE COVERS!! MORAL PEOPLE WOULD STATE THIS IS NOT FREE IN ADVANCE!!!

Thanks for query.
Your symptoms is suggestive of DVT (DEEP VEIN THROMBOSIS)
Otherwise it occurs due to calcium,d3,B12 and some minerals deficiency at this age.
Start B12,calcium,d3,minerals and other supplements.
Intramuscular injections of B12,folic acid is advisable.
Take nsaid to subside pain, local application of nsaid gel will be helpful to some extent.
It is better to go for complete investigations under guidance of your physician to rule out proper diagnosis and medical management.
