Severe Lower Stomach Pain. Had Normal Delivery 8 Weeks Ago, Iud Mirena Put In Recently. Cause Of Pain?

I am 22, I had a normal vaginal delivery 8 weeks ago and recently had the iud Mirena put in. I started my period and it was very heavy and for about the last hour or more I have had SEVERE lower stomach pain. It's not a cramp its a solid pain that doesn't come or go and is in my lower stomach area. Do you know what this is or could be?

Hi dear,
Mirena, an IUCD, is an effective method of birth control.Heavy periods, mild pain in abdomen and white discharge during initial few months is quiet common with any IUCD insertion.
Your severe pain in abdomen may or may not be related to the mirena
There is a possibility of your mirena being misplaced or displaced from its place specially when you are just 8 weeks post delivery when the uterus is shrinking to attain its normal size. In either of the condition it has to be removed.
Dont wait, Kindly consult your doctor and get an examination done for the same
