Severe Itching Over Entire Body, Intense In Evening, Eases With Hot Showers, Medicines. Cause?

For the past week I have been having servere itching all over my body which gets more servere in the evening after about 6:00 pm. I presently have to take extermely hot showers along with 3 benedyls and rub down in anti-itch lotions and creams just to ease the itch enough to sleep at night. What can be causing this problem?

Hi I m dr manoj...Do any of your family members have the same complaints...itching that increases at night may be scabies....whuch is caused by the itch mite...its contagious as well...so better to treat all the members in the family at the same time...benadryl will help to relieve itch so cont it....i recommend that u use permethrin 5% cream a 30 gm tube all over the body starting below neck to toes and keep it over night...only single night application..u have to wash all your clothes, bedsheets with hot water...during day u can use calasoft lotion....u can repeat the permethrin cream after 14 days once again after 14 days....this will help u...sometimes the itch may cont bcoz of allegen from this itchmite so u can cont using calasoft lotion or any antiitch lotion...
