Severe Itching In Vagina, Swollen Labia Lips, Itchy Bumps Between Thighs And Vagina, Discolored Effected Area. Not Sexually Active. Help

Hi, I am a 20 year old female and I've been experiencing INTENSE external vaginal itching (vulva/labia). It has gotten worse now, it all started a month ago. Symptoms are: INTENSE itch, swollen (labia lips are puffed), itchy bumps/rash on the area between my thighs and vagina and rawness. Not to mention the color of my external vaginal area and the affected area near my thighs (the rash) is REALLY discolored, it's somewhat of a dark color, purple I think? I have no pain when urinating, no smelly discharge, but when I do have discharge, it's minimal/sometimes and it's white and lumpy or sometimes just clear with white strings. I have never had any type of sexual intercourse at all. Also, I went to get checked up weeks ago by a gynecologist and she ruled it out as just a reaction from shaving (yes, I shaved two or three times a long time ago thinking it was a good idea). But now as days have gone by, the itching and swelling is getting worse, to the point where I can't do anything and just stay at home trying out home remedies (honey, baking soda paste) to cure my itchy vulva/labia and scream from the burning sensation, it HURTS. I have been using Vagisil anti-itch cream, it does help a bit, but not for long. What's worse is at night when I'm asleep, I'd wake up finding myself to have had unconciously itched down there, which results in worsening the condition. I am desperate, I have looked up online for answers for ages. I would go to the gynecologist again, but I am hesitant not because of embarrassment, but because of the pain that could happen (aka, pap smear/pelvic exam) Yes, I have not done that when I did to go the gynecologist to look at my itchy vaginal area condition. Please help, I am at my wits end, changing my daily diet from foods I love to limited foods like yogurt only is killing me. I have no clue how I am going to survive my summer college courses with this condition getting worse and worse. Thank you for your time.

hi, itching genitalia, not exposed to sexual activity, i think you are very much worried about the pigmentation around the area. so you might have tried using products to lighten it, shaving and creams application might have caused it. one more thing is poor genital hygiene may be one of the cause. what i suggest dont apply anything now. take antihistaminics tablets and an antibiotic. and regularly wear soft and cotton underwear and change twice per day and during menstruation it should be changed frequently. sanitary pads to be used for this. see your gynaecologist for the treatment.
