Severe Headache On The Right Of Head Above Ear, Following Day Had Dried Blood In Entire Ear, Headache Reduced. Any Ideas?
My son two nights ago had a terrible headache on the right side of his head just above the ear...slighlty in front of the ear but not near the temple at all. It was severe enough to make him cry. We gave him some ibuprofen which decreased the pain enough for him to get to sleep. The next morning we notice a little dried blood in his ear. That was the last of the headache so we weren t further concerned. Then this morning he woke up and his entire ear was full of dry blood. Not wax, puss, or other from what we could see but only blood. No further headaches and he seems fine otherwise. Any ideas?

From history it seems that he might be having some boil or folliculitis in his external ear giving rise to headache and ear pain.
Noe boil burst open giving rise to blood and relief from pain.
Clean the part and apply local antibiotic cream.
Ok and take care.
