Severe Hair Fall, Itchy Scalp With White Deposition. Treatment Advise?

Hi, I have a problem with my scalp from last 2 years.Due to which my hairs are continuously falling. A lot of itching is there on my scalp.if I move my fingers on scalp to get relief from itching,then some white thing is coming out from my scalp. This problem is strated from when i shifted to south from north India. Please give me suggestions what i will do or suggesst any good doctor in hyderabad.

Thanks for writing in.
In all probability you have dandruff or seborrheic dermatitis. This is commonly due to a fungal infection. The treatment is as follows:
a. Use Arcolane 2% shampoo 2-3 times a week. Apply on the scalp 20 minutes before bathing.
b. Keep your hair clean and do not apply oil
c. Do this for 2-3 weeks. If the problem persists, see a dermatologist. There are plenty of good dermatologists in Hyderabad. You can see Dr Vijay Somani at Somani Skin Care Centre, 3-6 -560, Lane adj to Aalto’s Trade Centre, Himayatnagar, Hyderabad - 500029
