Severe Fatigue, Body Ache, Low Vitamin D. Diagnosed With Sarcoidosis. Done Lung Biopsy, Chest X Ray. Menopausal?

59 yr old white female. Diagnosed with Sarcoidosis in 1974 through lung biopsy of shadows noted on lungs. No symptoms or signs of disease even existing anymore over last 20 years. Clean chest Xray in 2010 Have had severe fatigue, body aches, profuse sweating, but attributed all that to menopause and low vitamin D.............now have large (3" X 4"), extremely inflamed mass in armpit. No head to indicate ingrown hair or even a boil. Area also becoming black and blue from the pressure and rubbing. Very painful. Getting worse after two weeks of hot compresses and triple antibiotic application. Have a scheduled Dr appt. but wondered if this sounds like it could be Sarcoidoses in the lymph node or lymphoma.

HI
Thank for choosing HCM, Mam you had history of sarcoidosis, so the relapse of this, is more likely, the swelling you described here, seems abscess formation, one or more lymph node may involved, now do not take any more antibiotic otherwise the lesion will turn into, antibioma and will be difficult to drain, then again you will have to wait till it get liquify, right now draining of abscess is the only way or you can go for needle biopsy, have a words with your doctor,, take care have good day.
