General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello dear,

The symptoms of constipation can be related to the hemorrhoids.
Also, it can be due to increased intake of protein powders and decreased intake of fiber rich foods.
Other causes of constipation can be:
1. Any pathology/ sub acute obstruction in the Gastrointestinal tract
2. Irritable bowel syndrome- constipation predominant type.
3. Functional cause- due to decreased gastric motility
4. Less fluid intake
5. Prolonged use of certain medications.
6. Hormonal & Metabolic causes, etc.

Though symptomatic relief can be obtained by intake of Laxatives, their regular use is not advised.
And as long as the underlying cause is not treated, symptoms will keep recurring.

So, kindly consult a Gastroenterologist & get a proper physical examination done.
Investigations like complete blood count, Ultrasound scan of abdomen, Colonoscopy & contrast studies will be helpful to rule out any pathological cause for your symptoms.

There is no need to worry, you will be fine.
Till then, take healthy nutritious diet, exercise regularly and keep away stress.

Wishing a good health.
Take care.

General Surgeon Dr. Malik Shahnaz's  Response
hello..
thanks for choosing health care magic.
i can understand the trouble you might be having with severe constipation.
there are some simple measures you have to take. to avoid constipation you have to take lot of fluids and high fibre diet. about your haemorrhoids you will have to consult a general surgeon, he will grade your haemorrhoids and accordingly plan your treatment, he may also put you on some laxatives,&you may need a sigmooidoscopy or colonoscopy.
taking sitz bath may help you a bit. (sitz bath: sitting in a luke warm water tub three times a day for 10 mins each.) this should help in hemorrhoids.
hope you get well soon
thanks..
