Severe Chest Pain, Nausea, Shortness Of Breath. High Dimer Test. CT Scan Reported Normal Heart, Lungs. Have MVP. Suggest
I am 42/ woman-I went to the hospital yesterday, for severe chest pain/nausia/shortness of breath/leg pain- when it happens it feels just like also is squezzing my heart also I can't sleep for any length of time, my d dimer test was high so they did a CT Scan of heart/lungs showing normal so they released me I have MVP also. (I still had the pain but No Insur) what do u suggest- I am going to health dept tomorrow..
Hi, Since you have chest pain, nausea, severe shortness of breath and suffering from Mitral valve prolapse, it is important that you get your heart evaluated once.an echocardiography will be most helpful in knowing hemodynamics of blood within the heart including the mitral valve flow gradient.
A CT scan of lungs can show normal findings. Its nice to know that you are going to health department.
