Spine Surgeon 's  Response
Thanks for the query. Few common reasons for the low back pain such as back muscle spasm or disc degeneration (age related changes in disc). Need to know more about the back pain. Get spine xrays as well to rule out spine problem. If this is a non-specific back pain then it usually originates from muscles and ultimate solution lies in physiotherapy.Thanks.

Orthopaedic Surgeon Dr. Dr. Praveen Tayal's  Response
Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
From your description it seems that you are having a disc prolapse due to degenerative changes in the spine. An MRI scan of the back will help in proper diagnosis. Meanwhile you can start taking a mild pain killer along with a muscle relaxant for relief.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement Dr. Saurabh Gupta's  Response
Hello,
Thanks for writing to us.
The regimen often includes periods of rest and movement, the application of ice or heat, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), and gentle exercises.
Weekly yoga or stretching classes can be effective at improving function and reducing chronic back pain.
Avoid intense exercise and physical activity, particularly heavy lifting and trunk twisting, if there is acute back pain.
Exercise, diet, stress, and weight all have a significant influence on back pain. Changing certain lifestyle factors can help reduce, and possibly prevent, backaches.
Wishing you good health...
Regards.
Dr Saurabh Gupta.
