Scar Below Navel Due To Surgery For Blockage In Food Pipe. What Is This Surgery Called?

Hello, my question is, i have a scar just above my navel slightly to the right.(9 stitch marks)i was told by my parents that i had an operation when i was a few weeks old because of the fact that i could not keep my milk down.(blockage)Would this have been a food pipe corrective operation or some other corrective surgery,and if so what is it called? thanking you in anticipation.A.D.ABRAM.

Thanks for writing in to Healthcare Magic!
The problem where a newly born child is unable to store the milk normally or has a block can be due to Hypertrophic pyloric stenosis or duodenum atresia.
Both these congenital defects need corrective surgery in the infancy and the scar of surgery is the same as you are having.
Once the normalcy is restored there is no long term problems.
