ENT Specialist 's  Response
Dear william,
Its a good idea to get an audiogram and a tympanogram to evaluate hearing. With sudden loud noise exposure there may be temporary hearing loss (acoustic trauma) which would present as dull ears.
hearing tests would lead onto a diagnosis, please do not delay.

Warm regards
Dr Bharath Rao
