SGPT Turned 215 After Taking Godex, Maintaining Diet. Medicines And Diet That Can Lower It?
Hi, my brother has a high sgpt which is 240, he's been taking medicine godex 3x a day for 10days and godex ds 3x a day for 7days with daily diet of rice, steamed fish, bread and water only and daily exercise.. he took a retest yesterday and the result is 215.. what is the best meds and diet can he possibly take to lower it down in a little time ? thank you!

Normal value of S G P T is 5- 50 I U.
No doubt in your brother it is 215 now ( came down from 240 IU).
Avoidance are
Alcohol,
Certain drugs as these mimic the exact disease in liver,
Fatty food.
Now what to do,
Vaccination for hepatitis A,
Hepatitis B,
Influenza,
pneumococcal vaccination,
Above mentioned vaccination very necessary.
Please note down one thing as level is high so you have to be careful that , what is the reason of high level of S G P T.
Following diseases increases the level of S G P T alone,
Early cholestasis,
Hodgkin's disease,
diabetes,
hyperthyroidism,
congestive heart failure,
Inflammatory bowel disease.
Please don't be in panic, as isolated increased level of S G P T is there.
So consult a physician and find out the exact cause .
