Running Nose, Itching, Sneezing, Bleeding In The Nose. What Could Be The Reason?
very, very runny nose and sneezing. intense itch in nostrils too on and off. i thought it was a flu last week - it got better. it's started again - and this intense itchy feeling doesn't point to a flu? also, have had nose bleeds (never blood flowing out but i could tell by stuffy feeling in nose and when i used a tissue it would come out red) on and off for almost 6 months now. proly because it's very dry - just bought a humidifier.
You could be suffering from a condition called allergic rhinitis. You are allergic to certain agents and your nose is reacting this way. Allergies could be due to pollen, dust mite at home and even for certain food stuffs. You need to be thoroughly examined and treated accordingly. Treatment includes identification of allergen if possible, avoidance of allergens and treatment with nasal sprays and tablets treating allergy. You could also be having associated polyps in the nose which could have caused the bleeding. Visit an ENT specialist or an allergy expert as it has already been more than six months.
