Routine Acne Breakouts, Inflamed, Painful. Any Thoughts?
I am 46 years old ( 5-8 , 160 ) and still have routine acne breakouts which would be probably considered to be low to moderate at worst, however, occasionally I get this condition in which my entire nose (mainly at the tip ) get inflammed and painful. This condition occurs probably 2 to 4 times a year and doesn t appear to be associated with any particular season. The symptons appear to be much like acne but covers the entire nose except for the bridge. An thoughts ?Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi routine acne breakeouts over the nose can be due to excessive sweating over the nose or due to hormonal imbalance.whatever the reason first treat the condition with minocycline 100 mg daily once for 15 days.use of clindac a in the morning and epiduo cream in the night can cure the condition.use of salcylic acid face wash regularly to remove seborrhea over the nose

It seems that you may be having rasocea. There may be acneiform lesions on nose and cheek. There may be telangieactesia and erythema. There ma be pustular lesions also. The lesions may be exacerbated by stress,sun rays and change of seasons.
Avoid sun exposure. Avoid stress . And have proper sleep. Take doxycycline or minocycline with anti inflammatory drugs. Apply clindamycine gel.
You may feel better. However, you may consult dermatologist.
