Risks Of Having Increased Urine Pus Cells With Angiogram Showing Triple Valve Disease
My father (age 67) is admitted due to degenerative aortic valve disease. His angiogram shows triple valve disease as well. But at present he has some urinary infections and waiting for the surgery after the antibiotic treatment. Today the urine puss cell count was taken and found numerous. 3 days before it was 20-25. Plz inform me about the risks he has at present. His ECG is perfect

Hi,
Having urine pus cell count as "numerous" is indicative for severe urinary tract infection. It is great that he is taking antibiotic treatment before surgery.
Septicemia and/or worsening of the UTI can be a complication if not treated accordingly. This is the only risk he has for the moment.
After the infection is completely treated, he can do the surgery hoping that everything will be fine.
