Ringing In The Ear After A Flight. Swollen Ear Drums. Should Be Worried?

I ve recently returned from a plane trip and now my ears are ringing constantly and it has been almost 2 weeks since my return. Should I be worried? My doctor said that my ear drums were swollen and that it was probably fluid behind the ear drums causing the ringing. It should clear up on its own he said, but it hasn t as yet.

Hello,
Yes it clears up in 2-3 weeks .
But you need to take decongestant tablets and nose drops , Mucolytics , Steam inhalations.
In addition you can take chewing gums to chew that will open up the tube behind the nose that connects to the middle part of ear.
This opening of the tube will ventilate the middle part of ear and decrease the blocked sensation.
In doubt do reply
