Right ear has become deaf, numbness, took medicines, still not able to hear. Suggestions?

For over a month now, I have been unable to hear out of my right ear. It also feels a bit numb. I went to my family doctor, and he said it s clean as can be. He gave me Nasacort and told me to take Sudafed . After a week, there were no improvements at all. Now two weeks later, it s still the same. No pain at all. It s driving me crazy! Any ideas???

ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hi and thanks for the query,
There are many causes for hearing loss.
Wax, fluid in the ear, nerve damage due to age or diabetes.
It is difficult to comment without examination.
Get yourself examined by an ENT especialist.
You will require a test called audiometry which will tell us about the cause and degree oh hearing loss.
Regards, Dr Kishori.
