Rhythm in my ear

So i frequently hear everything in the same type of rythm. My voice even. And it has occured since i was little. It happens on and off, and i recall it stopping for awhile, but it has been very frequent recently. I constantly try to explain it to people. Anyone have any idea what might be causing this? I also have Hashimoto's disease, if that could possibly have anything to do with it. I'm 16 now and was diagnosed with Hashimoto's at the age of 9. Help please. :(

I had similar kind of sensation in my ears and they usually happen when i am fasting and i am stressed out. Hence the problem could be more of low sugars and stress related.  Hence you could try having some sugars. Calm yourself.  You can probably try counting numbers, or some other methods to decrease the stress and tension.  Continue the treatment as advised by your doctors... All the best for your future...:-)

Can having an ear infection or having excess water in ear cause constant repetitive rhythms in my head? I had water in my ears on vacation, on the flight back home I experienced excruciating pain in my ear. When I got back home I could not hear for days. I bought an over the counter ear wax remover and slowly got hearing back in my right ear. Since then I have had the constant feeling of water in my ear and pain behind my ear....Now I have sinus pressure and ear pain. I noticed a week ago that I get a constant repetetive tune in my head and am wondering if the ear problem has caused this.

I am hearing the sound of what sounds like my heart beat rhythm in my left ear when I layed down to go to sleep this evening. I have not heard this before. Is this a normal occurrence or is this a reason for concern? I a 70 years old, female, no known health issues. Your input would be much appreciated.

Hi, in my left ear, I ve been having strange pulsing or beating of the ear drum. It is not to the best of my heart- it has an off-and-on spastic rhythm to it. It is very annoying, it makes me cringe and stops me from focusing on my work, but does not cause any pain. Only my left ear. Seems to not happen while yawning, but may happen immediately after... (I am a 17 year old male, with childhood history of a few ear infections) Is this an ear infection? Are there any home remedies that would suffice? How long would this take to clear up on its own, and how long with medication? Thanks!
