Resurfacing psoriatic arthritis pain after implanon fixing. Is this common?

I am 37 and have had psoriatic arthritis since I was 24. For the last 3 years I have been able to keep symptoms under control with chiropractic and diet . Before this I was taking Arava and methotrexate . I had implanon implanted 10 days ago and I am starting to get arthritic pains again. This is the only thing that has changed. Is this a known/recognised side effect?
