Removed Gall Bladder, Pain Under Ribs, Black Stool. Reports Normal. Endoscopy?

I have had my gall bladder removed on feb 23rd this year...1 day ago i had severe paom under my ribs and between..the next morning i had black stool...i have checked my heamoglobin and other vitals and they are normal..so i beleive no internal bleeding ulcers...but yet to get the endoscopy done...as of now..no pain under the ribs..pls suggest

Hi,
Thanks for posting your query.
A normal hemoglobin and vitals do not rule out internal bleed. In milder bleed they can remain normal.
If you are not on iron supplements and pepto bismol, this black stool with abdominal pain may indicate a peptic ulcer disease with bleed and an upper GI endoscopy should be done.
In the meanwhile take prilosec.
