You have become dependent and addicted to the use of COLACE which is a stool softener.
This drug should always be used only when required and sparingly only.
In any case it should never to be used for more than a week at a stretch.
Along with eating fresh fruits and green vegetables, you must take plenty of plain water every day which shall be able to flush your bowels and you must go for regular walks and exercises.
These exercises help in increasing peristaltic movements of your intestines.
Start by reducing the dose of COLACE and gradually stop taking it.
These measures take time but you should be all right gradually.

hello.. you are a case of chronic constipation.. avoid dependence on medication as they leach nutrients from your lot of fruits, nuts, salads.. eat small meals every 2-3 hours...drink lot of water as fiber supplements need water to make your stools soft... avoid milk and wheat.. eat oats, brown rice...avoid refined foods like breads, biscuits, processed foods..go for brisk walk daily for 1 hour.. all this will also help you lose weight..
