Redness, Small Boils, Burning Sensation On Penis After Sex. Used Vaseline For Lubrication, Skin Flaky And Peels. Why?
I have redness and small boils on my penis after sex. There is also a burning sensation. When not having sex, there are no symptoms at all. I had used Vaseline and oil for lubrication for a long time. Is it caused due to that. Can u prescribe a medecinebir an ointment for this. The burning sensation subsides after half an hour of sex but the red boils stay for a couple of days and the skin becomes flaky and peels also after a couple of days. My wife also experiences burning sensation after sex inside her vagina after sex and it subsides after half n hour. Thanks
You both probably have a fungal infection of the genitals. Both you and your wife need to be treated at the same time with oral antifungal drugs like Fluconazole/itraconazole and local suppositories/cream of clotrimazole applied 3-4 times daily.Secondary bacterial infection will need to be ruled out by seeking the opinion of your PCP/doctor who can guide you further. The therapy will need to be continued at least for a couple of weeks after symptoms disappear to prevent recurrence.
