Redness On Glans, Dry Peeling Skin After Masturbation. No Itching Or Pain. Any Ideas?
Hello, I noticed that I have some redness on my glans since about two weeks. It seems that it is not going away but it doesn't seem to get worse either. It does not itch or hurt. I haven't had intercourse for over a month and the last couple of times I did I used protection. It just showed up and I haven't used any new detergent or body wash. I really don't know where it is coming from and what it is. After masturbating the skin on the glans feels very dry an it looks like the old skin is peeling off slightly. I attached some pictures maybe this will help you analyzing the situation. http://imageshack.us/g/4/fzri.jpg/ Thank you very much in advance.
Don't panic. Go see a urologist/dermatologist for the proper insight you need and go from there. Herpes sores are super-painful and are totally noticeable. Could it be a fungal issue?
While infection with yeast is the most common culprit, if this has been ruled out you may have genital psoriasis. Keep the area clean, dry, minimize trauma, and try a low-dose topical steroid. Your treating doctor may need to consider a biopsy if the site does not clear.
Best of luck and God bless.
