Reddish Spots On The Legs, Pain And Swelling On The Veins. Poor Blood Circulation In The Leg. Scars On The Feet. Remedy?

Hi, I am a Registered Nurse who have been working for over 10 years. Since 2010, I have seeing generalized red spots on my legs and having pain and swelling to the veins of my feet. I did two ultrasounds which showed no abnormalities. After that, I have been experiencing signs and symptoms of bruises, sores, and pain which is unbearable. In 2012, two scans were done at separate institutions which showed poor blood circulation in both legs but more prevalent in the right leg. I am wearing compressions which help at times but need better advice and help to deal with this condition. Because of the terrible scars on both feet, I haven't worn a dress nor an elegant but comfortable shoes for little over two years now. What else can I do to live a normal life?

Hi thanks for writing to H.C.M.Pain and swelling in you veins suggest venous compromise while reduced blood floe,pain,sores point towards arterial involvement.It may be possible you have both conditions .You have to consult a vascular surgeon who will treat you accordingly.Continue with compressions.Avoid prolonged standings.Keep leg elevated at night.Avoid smoking .Get your lipid levels checked.Avoid fatty foods.You can take tablets like pentoxyphyline and calcium dobesilate in guidance or your doctor.Take care.
