Reddish Purple Tonsils. No Fever. Need To Be Worried?

I looked at my throat in the mirror the other day and my tonsils are a dark redish purple. It doesnt look much darker than the rest of my mouth but it is deffinetly noticeable. I have no pain or fever. I used a flashlight and looked a bit further done my throat and it seems to be a little bit orange in colour. Am i just scaring my self here? I feel like a hypochondriac haha

ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hello

Welcome in H.C.M. for your query.

I have gone through your query regarding discolouration of your tonsil, though there is neither pain nor fever.

As per your observations there is possibility of tonsillar reaction to any infection. In such cases no treatment is needed but if you are too much worried than you may do warm saline garglings.

Regards.
