Red Stools. No External Piles. What Happened?

Hi, Yesterday evening when I passed stools , it was bright red..it was like the stool in middle of pool of blood . I got really scared. I went to emergency doctor yesterday. He did some tests and said there is no external piles. So he referred me to go to GP for doing my internal tests. But one... Not relevant? Ask a doctor

Hi--this could be internal hemorrhoids or an anal fissure but the bleeding could be from higher up as with a colon polyp, or this could be a case of inflammatory bowel disease like ulcerative colitis. You need colonoscopy to look for the internal hemorrhoids and to evaluate the other areas of your colon
