Red Spot On Base Of Thumb, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, Numbness In Thumb. What Is It?

Hi, ive had this little redspot on the base of my thumb eversince i got carpal tunnel syndrome 3 months ago from using the weed whacker. No pain in the wrist just complete numbness in my thumb that went away after 2 months. But anyway the red spot goes away when i press on it, and it reappears when i stop pressing on it. I just wana know is the little red spot a sympthom of muscle loss in the base of my thumb?

The numbness in your thumb is related to the carpal tunnel syndrome. It is due to a mild nerve compression. The red spot is likely to be due to a capillary malformation. This is not worrisome.
