Red Bumpy Rash On Upper Legs, Sore To Touch, Itchy. Taking Diflucan For Candida Overgrowth. Is It Side Effect ?

Hi. I am currently on my 2nd day of taking diflucan (10 day script) for candida overgrowth. I have developed a red bumpy rash on one of my upper legs. Its a little sore to the touch, was very itchy earlier in the day but now it is not. I have read on the info two contradictory things. One, that a rash is a common side effect, and 2. To notify your doctor immediately if you develop a rash. Is this something to worry about as it is localized & does not seem to be spreading? I really want to continue on the antifungals as it has already helped my vaginal & anal itching.

Hi, as you describe it appears to be the ring worm, a sort of fungal infection. You need to use specific antifungals and local applications , so i advise you to consult a dermatologist for diagnosis and treatment.
Take more of green leafy vegetables and proteine rich foods to prevent such infections. Thank you.
