Red Acne On Face After Shifting To Hot And Dry Place After Being Brought Up In A Hill Station. Any Remedies?

hello sir my age is 24. i was born and brought up in Meghalaya, India. it is a hill station and the temperatures never cross 27-30 degrees. my skin is well adapted to this temperature. but in january 2012 i had to go to Karnataka, Indua for a job training. its a hot and dry place. after few days of my stay in Karnataka, i started getting red acne in my face. ther would come every single day. they left marks and as i have a fair complexion my face is full of red scars. can you please suggest me any remedy to get a acne-pimple-spot free skin.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
hi,
thank you for your query.

Acne scars develop in areas where former cystic blemish lesions have been present. Acne scars come in three varieties

*Atrophic, which are mostly shallow
*Boxcar-shaped
*Ice pick-shaped, which are narrow and deeper.

People with deeper skin tones may also notice darkening (or hyperpigmentation) within the scars, while people with lighter skin tones may show redness (or erythema) within the scars.

Treatment includes-
1.first reduce the redness of a blemish by applying cortisone cream to the scar.Cortisone will help fight the inflammation and surrounding redness of the scar, making it appear less noticeable .
2.Try fade creams such as kojic acid and arbutin
3.you can also use retinoids and Vit C ointments.
4.procedures such as dermabrasion and microdermabrasion and chemical peels can be done after consultation with a dermatologist.

thank you,
wishing you good health
