Recurring Throat Infection Leading To Fever And Heavy Cough, Frequently Use Tobacco Products. What Measures Can Be Adopted To Avoid Recurrence?

Hello sir, I am 25 years old working man associated with a corporate industry. I usually suffer with Throat infection in a period of 3-4 months which every time lead to have fever and heavy cough . I want to mention that, I am frequent user of tobacco products like Ciggerate (5-6 a day) which i am trying to minimize but because of my routine work it is little difficult for me to completely quit this (as I am pretty sure that, this is one the major factor for my throat infection). Now, can you please suggest me some good steps that I can follow in order to avoid this frequent throat infection which takes at least 4-5 days to be cured, that too when I am having Antibiotics , Anti-allergic and Paracetamol as consulted by my Physician. Thanks in Advance.. Yours sincerely, Vishnu Prasad Sharma

hello. sure , the best way would be to stop smoking and other would be to look for a source of infection in your work place. also consider salt gargling every time after you smoke and before going to sleep. but again , the most likely cause is smoking and it is advisable that you stop it. thanks
